Fishing Report July 19th 2026

The Muskegon is at a normal summer low level. Smallmouth bass fishing has been steady this past week despite hotter than normal temperatures and Canadian wildfire smoke that blanketed Michigan. Fishing topwater flies and lures in yellow and chartreuse had great success in the low light hours. Fishing minnow type flies or hardware proved itself on the subsurface level. Looks like we have some cooler weather instore this week, which should make things a bit more comfortable on the river.

If you’re looking to get out on the river, we still have a couple days available in July and August. It would be a pleasure to have you aboard. In addition to July and August, we are taking bookings for fall salmon and steelhead September through early December!
