Fishing Report May 29th 2025
Mark with nice brown trout that took a caddis nymph.
Trout fishing is in full swing on the Muskegon River! We have been busy at all times of the day picking on our resident trout population. Our water levels have been great this past spring going into June, which has made the trout pretty happy and comfortable. Nymphing, swinging wet flies, dry flies, stripping streamers and spin fishing have all been producing this past May. Going into the month of June, we should have great evening fishing for the dry fly angler with hatches of caddis, sulfurs and grey drakes all coming off. Swinging nymphs and traditional wet flies have been working well in the mornings through afternoons. Their has been some decent mid day dry fly fishing taking place depending on what section of river your on.
I hope everyone has a great rest of their week and weekend! See you on the river!!
